BLOOD AND ITS COMPOSITION

                            BLOOD

Blood is a vital fluid that circulates throughout the human body, delivering oxygen and nutrients to cells while also removing waste products. It is composed of several different components, including red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma. Red blood cells, also known as erythrocytes, carry oxygen from the lungs to the body's tissues. White blood cells, or leukocytes, are part of the body's immune system and help fight off infections and diseases. Platelets are responsible for blood clotting, which is important to stop bleeding after an injury. Plasma, the liquid component of blood, is mostly made up of water and contains proteins, hormones, and other substances that are important for various bodily functions. Blood is constantly being produced and replenished in the body, and it plays a crucial role in maintaining overall health and wellbeing.
